Off field problems have no bearing on my decision says Coventry loanee McGoldrick

Coventry City loanee David McGoldrick has said that his decision as to where he plays his football will not be affected by the current on-going rent dispute between Coventry City's owners SISU and Arena Coventry Limited.SISU were given twenty one days last week to pay the outstanding rent of over £1m by stadium management company Arena Coventry Limited or face the club being wound up after talks broke down when a very good offer which included concessions on the food and drink as well as a 67% drop in rent charges was rejected. The off the field problems did not affect McGoldrick on Saturday, who gave the Walsall defence a torrid time, scoring twice in a 5-1 win and he told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: "We've had reassurances from the gaffer who has made it clear that it won't affect things on the field. "In respect of the boys' wages being paid I don't think that will be a problem so it's between the owner and the company who run the Ricoh and I don't see it having a bearing on my decision. Coventry are talking to me and Forest and there are things going on."
