Manchester United consider shock move for Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling

The Sunday People have reported that Manchester United will make an astonishing move to sign Raheem Sterling from bitter Premier League rivals Liverpool. It is understood that Sir Alex Ferguson is monitoring Sterling’s situation at Liverpool and sees the 18-year-old as a long term replacement for the out-of-form Luis Nani.Transfer activity between United and Liverpool has been non-existent for decades but Ferguson has been put on alert after contract negotiations between Sterling and Liverpool have stalled. Also alerting other Premier League big hitters such as Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.Ferguson has a good record of developing young players and this could be a big factor if Sterling was to opt to join Manchester United. Raheem would fit in perfectly with Old Traffords current plan of developing a team around talented young English players such as Tom Clevery, Danny Welbeck, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.Liverpool do not want to sell one of the most promising players to come out of their academy since Steven Gerrard but with the club a long way off of being able to offer Sterling Champions League football and a shot at the Premier League title the England international could be tempted elsewhere. It is thought that the players advisor’s met Anfield managing director Ian Ayre last week but were unimpressed by his offer.
