Miller fitness boost for Gers

The striker has been troubled by a hamstring injury recently, which saw him miss the win over Falkirk in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and last night's Co-operative Insurance Cup victory over St Johnstone. However, he expects to come through training on Thursday without any problems and be in a position to push for a place in the team for the visit to Paisley on Saturday. He said: "I will join the boys for training today and hopefully come through that unscathed and be back in the plans for the St Mirren game."I feel fine and I just want to kick on for the rest of the season."Goals from Steven Davis and Lee McCulloch sealed a 2-0 win over St Johnstone and allowed Rangers to book their place in next month's League Cup final, where they will face St Mirren again.Miller told the club's official website: "We wanted to reach the first final of the season and the boys managed to do that."They went out and put the game to bed early in difficult conditions."It's a fantastic achievement to have reached five cup finals in a row and it says a lot about the squad."To be that consistent in cup competitions is a big feat and hopefully we can take one step closer to reaching another one when we face St Mirren on Saturday."It will be another very tough match but we will go in to it with confidence."
