Sir Alex will manage United until the day he dies, predicts Patrice Evra

Still got it: Sir Alex Ferguson celebrates Manchester United's winning goal against City earlier this seasonPatrice Evra has predicted Sir Alex Ferguson will remain 'until his last breath' as manager of Manchester United. Fergie, 68, came close to retirement in 2002 but the France defender doesn't believe it's in his nature to walk away from the job. He said: 'He doesn't see himself taking it easy at home reading a book or watching TV. Personally I think that would bore him. 'I don't think he will call an end to his career. As long as he's strong he will carry on. He will stay until his last breath.'And Ferguson's passion for the game is certainly not diminishing, his reaction after the 3-1 win over rivals Manchester City showed what the Carling Cup semi-final victory meant to him. Evra explained, 'Sir Alex is a child. We saw it against City. He's so passionate, he was jumping up and down like a child after that game. You could be forgiven for thinking he'd never won a game before.' The League Cup is not the main prize for United this season, the club are on course for a unprecedented fourth league title in a row after their demolition of Arsenal at the weekend but the defender isn't taking anything for granted. Team man: Patrice Evra (right) insists United are a better unit this season 'For us it's normal when you play a good game and it's normal to win the championship. It's Manchester United but we don't have the right to make mistakes.' Speaking to French TV station Canal+, Evra added: 'We miss Cristiano and Tevez but the real star at United is the team. With Cristiano we relied on him in certain games. 'Today we need to do a bit more each of us to to create danger for our opponents.'   Revealed: Rooney's bumper teenage deal - United star earned £500k in image rights as a 16-year-old at EvertonOwen's Italian job - Ferguson wants Hargreaves back to face BeckhamSurge for Sergio!
