The 18-year-old, who made his Swans debut in this season's Carling Cup tie against Scunthorpe, graduated from the club's youth team last summer before earning his first professional contract. He told the club's official website: "It's brilliant. I'm just happy to sign for the club I love and stay here for another three-and-a-half years."Cornell also admits that working under regular goalkeeper Dorus de Vries helps to develop his game.He added: "He is one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship. And being able to train with him really helps me out a lot."You pick up everything from him and even in games his level of consistency is very good - hopefully I can pick up as much as I can from him to improve my own game."
