Cherries: Tindall on bench after loan is blocked

Cherries' attempts to bolster their threadbare squad were this afternoon dashed. Boss Eddie Howe had sought to bring in an emergency loanee ahead of yesterday's 5pm transfer deadline. Doncaster Rovers youngster Mustapha Dumbuya was the player Howe had tried to bring in as the paperwork between the two clubs was completed at the 11th hour. He is understood to have trained with Cherries this morning and stayed with the team at their Rotherham HQ ahead of this evening's League Two clash. But the Football League blocked the move, leaving Cherries to select assistant manager Jason Tindall as their third outfield substitute at the Don Valley Stadium.
