Featherstone back in Tigers' lair

The 21-year-old, who had been at Blundell Park since November 20, extended his stay at the League Two club by a further month a fortnight ago but requested the loan be cut short after he was not involved in the games against Rotherham and Aldershot."Nicky asked to go back and Hull have taken him," said Mariners manager Neil Woods. "It's disappointing for us but I can understand he wants to play and hadn't figured in the last two games."He's Hull's player and they are entitled to have him back but I would have liked him to stay because he would have got used."There are no problems with the player or between the two clubs, though, he just didn't feel he was going to play as much as he'd hoped."Featherstone made eight league appearances during his time with the club.
