Kilgallon makes Sunderland home bow

AS Sunderland put the finishing touches to a loan deal for Manchester City striker Benjani, manager Steve Bruce has handed a home debut to Matthew Kilgallon. Kilgallon, likely to be joined in the defence by Alan Hutton when Saturday travel to Wearside on Saturday after his loan move from Tottenham, joined ten days ago from Sheffield United. Bruce has also been able to call upon Lee Cattermole for tonight's visit of Stoke City, despite a hamstring scare last week. Stoke include former Sunderland midfielder Dean Whitehead in the middle, while Danny Collins is on the bench.
