Cherries waiting on Dumbuya decision

Cherries are understood to be waiting to discover whether their attempts to sign Doncaster Rovers youngster Mustapha Dumbuya have been successful. Boss Eddie Howe is believed to have made a move for the 21-year-old utility man after being given permission to bolster his squad with an emergency loan signing by the Football League. However, as the go-ahead was given just two hours before the transfer window slammed shut at 5pm, it left Howe with very little time to source a new recruit. And while the paperwork between the two clubs was completed at the 11th hour, Cherries were tonight facing an anxious wait for confirmation the signing had beaten the deadline. It is likely this will not happen until tomorrow morning due to the amount of transfer deadline day paperwork at Football League HQ.
