Sunderland miss out in £2m bid for 'Egyptian Beckham' Al-Mohammadi

'Egyptian David Beckham': Ahmed Al-Mohammadi Winger Ahmed Al-Muhammadi, daubed the Egyptian David Beckham, hasseen his hopes of a move to Sunderland dashed by club ENPPI for thesecond successive transfer window.Black Cats boss Steve Bruce originally moved to sign the versatileright-sided player on loan in September, although that was dismissedout of hand. He then returned on Monday with a substantial cash offer.Al-Muhammadi's agent, though, claims the Egyptian club want to keep their star-turn until at least the end of the season.
