Under-fire Ridsdale stands ground

The Bluebirds chairman has come under increased pressure from fans as the club struggle for financial well being, culminating in the scenes witnessed following Saturday's 2-1 win over Doncaster in which fans held up banners saying 'Ridsdale out' and 'Peter, where's our money gone?'."I don't wish to say anything about what happened afterwards," Ridsdale told the South Wales Echo. "With regards to after-match events, I've no interest in making any comment upon them."But he was keen to applaud those in the stadium for the way they backed their side to the end, with Jay Bothroyd heading home a 92nd-minute winner. He added: "I would like to place on record my admiration for the way our supporters handled themselves from kick-off to the final whistle."I thought they were superb. I'm adamant the way they backed the team right through to the end kept the players going and played its part in our injury-time winner."
