Hibs have edge over United - Murray

John Hughes' men again put on a late show to defeat St Mirren 2-1 on Saturday - and home fans were further boosted post-match with Mark Brown's arrival from Celtic. The 28-year-old goalkeeper has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal after his release from Parkhead, but faces a battle for action at Easter Road.Hibs triumphed with a last-gasp win at Celtic in midweek and their desire for victory was against evident in the comeback success over the Buddies as they claimed a seventh home win in their last nine matches. The Edinburgh side are only two points behind second-placed Celtic, but third is Hughes' target and they now boast a three-point lead over United with a game in hand.Murray, whose 92nd-minute cross was turned in by Ross, feels late victories are strengthening their belief and sapping the spirit of United."It's a big psychological boost for us," he said."We are starting to get a wee bit of light between ourselves and Dundee United, which is good because it wasn't that long ago they leapfrogged us."That's two games in a row we have scored in the last minute, it's a great time to net."I just tried to put it in the danger area and hoped someone would get on the end of it. It was the wee bit of luck that you need."We threw caution to the wind a little bit at the end, lost our shape, two at the back basically. It's times like that it can pay off."After defeating Hamilton last Saturday, Hibs rounded off the perfect week after Liam Miller cancelled out Sol Bamba's own goal before the late drama."To get nine points out of nine this week is fantastic," added Murray."St Mirren will feel a wee bit gutted because they did okay, but we pressed at the end and it finally paid off."
