Warnock slams 'pathetic' star bids

Palace slid into administration this week with debts of around £30million and players need to be sold for the club to survive.Teenage forward Victor Moses is already on his way to a Premier League club, believes to be Wigan, for a fee of £2.5million.But Warnock hit out at some "pathetic" bids from top-flight clubs looking to take advantage of the Eagles' perilous position."Some of the offers we have had from clubs for some of our players have been disgusting, pathetic really," he said."I just hope the administrator is responsible with the offers because I know what I would do with them."One Premier League club offered £1.5million for Moses and Nathanial Clyne."Neil Danns already has his suitors and will have added a few pounds onto his transfer value with two superb goals in today's 2-0 win over Peterborough. The midfielder opened the scoring in the 28th minute, hooking the ball into the net with his back to goal. And he killed off Posh in the 65th minute, controlling Darren Ambrose's chip on his chest, turning and slotting the ball past Joe Lewis."Southampton have made an offer for Neil and a couple of other clubs have made offers for other players," added Warnock."But, no disrespect to Southampton, who have already taken Jose Fonte off us, but that would be a backward step unless you want a few quid. And I think Neil Danns' career comes first."I'm aware of a couple of derisory offers for other players - and I don't think the administrator can put a gun to players' heads."The administrator has to be careful because whoever buys the club - and there are a few interested - are not going to want it decimated for a few pieces of silver."Warnock's patched-up side put in a defiant display to end the worst week in their history on a high. The manager led his players to the centre circle after the final whistle to lap up the applause and, for one or two, probably say goodbye. But while the Eagles, who have been deducted 10 points due to their financial troubles, eased clear of the drop zone, Posh remain rock bottom."I can't question my players' effort and commitment, they worked their socks off all game," said boss Mark Cooper."But when we have our spells in the game we don't score and when we come under a little bit of pressure we concede - and that's not a recipe for success."
