Kiernan handed Killie chance

The 19-year-old defender will spend a few days training with the Ayrshire club and Calderwood says he has been impressed by the teenager so far.Kiernan made his debut for the Hornets 12 months ago when he came off the bench in a FA Cup win against Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road.Calderwood said: "I've got a young lad in at the moment, from Watford, who is a centre-half."He is going to be with us for a couple of days and we will have a look at him."He did really well today in training."Calderwood - who has joined Kilmarnock until the end of the season - is desperately trying to steer the club away from the relegation zone. And he is hoping to boost their chances of survival with the arrival of more new faces before Monday's transfer deadline. He added: "Hopefully there will be a few more in the coming days."Goalkeeping-wise we are okay. For the rest of the positions, we would like to get one in every position."But that all depends on finances."
