Bratt close to Valiants return

The 64-year-old MBE had the operation two weeks ago in a bid to improve blood circulation, leaving director Graham Mudie in charge of his responsibilities. But Bratt is looking to return sooner rather than later, and told The Sentinel: "It was a major four-and-a-half-hour operation, so you always fear the worst."It was the third operation I've had on this, but I was told that without them I would have been in a wheelchair. I had no choice really but to go ahead."The surgeons did a brilliant job. I have to go back for a scan in the next two to three weeks, but I am hoping to be back at Vale within three or four weeks.and then playing football again in three months!"Meanwhile, Bratt revealed there have been no developments in the ongoing discussions with Harlequin regarding potential investment.
