Newcastle complete defender deal
NEWCASTLE United have completed the permanent transfer of Mike Williamson on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Portsmouth. An emergency loan arrangement had enabled the defender to make his debut in Wednesday night's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at St.James' Park. Williamson put the finishing touches to his United transfer today and is expected to face Leicester City on Saturday.
