McCormack sets season goal target

McCormack, who scored his first of the season in the 4-2 FA Cup win over Leicester at the weekend, is hoping his renewed goalscoring form can continue. He told the club's official website: "I've been saying for a while that I just needed a run in the team and I'd need one goal to fall to me and then I'd start scoring."My first one (against Bristol City) off Gavin Rae's attempt was what I needed to get me going. My target now is double figures for the season."McCormack also set up one of fellow striker Michael Chopra's two goals at Ashton Gate and he added: "Chops went through a barren spell but he'll always get goals, so will Jay (Bothroyd), we've got Whitts (Peter Whittingham) and Burkey (Chris Burke) will chip in. I'll score a few as well."We've got Newcastle and Chelsea coming up, but they're not in our heads. We've got Doncaster on Saturday and then we'll start to think about St James' Park."
