Coleman wants Barnett for keeps

The West Brom centre-back's initial spell is due to run out on January 31 and Coleman is keen to keep the 24-year-old at the Ricoh Arena."I have spoken to Leon and I think there are one or two other clubs speaking to West Brom for his services," Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph. "We want to do a permanent deal and if we can't do that then we want to extend his loan until the end of the season."Leon is interested in doing that himself, so the chairman is speaking to West Brom and we will see what comes out of that."Coleman is also still working hard to try and secure a deal for Gary Madine, who returned to parent club Carlisle last week.He added: "I'm still hopeful that we can do a deal. We want one thing and Carlisle want another, which is what happens in deals, but the chairman is quite confident that we can agree something."
