Bluebirds turn down Swans' Jay bid

Cardiff are thought to want £3million for the in-form striker who was recently linked with a return to the Premier League at Aston Villa.Swans chairman Jenkins told the South Wales Echo: "We have spoken to Dave Jones about the possibility of signing Jay. We were interested in a number of strikers and that was one conversation we had."He is not a player that is within our price range though. Cardiff's valuation for Jay is miles out from where we put ours."That is where things stand at the moment. We couldn't come anywhere near Cardiff's valuation."He added: "Whether you are looking at the Championship, above or below, you want players that suit what we believe is right for our formation and Jay is one of them."
