Manchester City to splash £45m on Cruz, Given and Toure

Manchester Cityheld talks in London yesterday to pave the way for a £45m spending spree that could secure Roque Santa Cruz, Kolo Toure and Shay Given over the next 48 hours.Delegates from their Abu Dhabi owners gave the OK for the club to up their bids. City were going back to Blackburn last night to offer around £20million for Cruz. Bids for him have been rebuffed so far.
