Ex-Cherries boss Quinn in line for Weymouth job

FORMER Cherries player and manager Jimmy Quinn has emerged as a frontrunner to become Weymouth's new boss. Quinn was sacked from his post at Dean Court on New Year's Eve 2008 following a turbulent four-month spell in charge. And he now looks poised for a return to football with Cherries' Dorset neighbours. Weymouth chairman George Rolls has ruled out a return for Garry Hill, with Quinn said to be a major contender alongside fellow ex-Cherry John Beck. Steve Fallon and Leroy Rosenior are also in the frame. Weymouth had been due to hold a press conference this evening to unveil their new boss, but that has now been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances".
