Feeney calls for Cherries support

Despite a glut of injuries, a transfer embargo and a recent run of poor form, the Cherries remain second in the League Two table. But Eddie Howe's players were barracked by sections of the crowd during Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Bury and Feeney wants the criticism to end."If you give people something to shout about then they will. But I've rarely seen anyone perform better once they've been booed," he told the Bournemouth Echo."I think encouragement is a better way to try to get someone to play well. Under the circumstances, I think we've done brilliantly to get to where we are and I know the majority of our fans agree."I know it is only a minority but if you are getting booed and then you make a mistake or misplace a pass, it can make you nervy the next time you try to do something. We need people behind us when things aren't going our way."
