Reid wary of 'dangerous' Terrors

Accies host United at New Douglas Park in a rearranged game which became the first Scottish Premier League fixture claimed by the big freeze back on December 19.Since their return to the top flight the summer before last, Hamilton have been something of a bogey side for the men from Tannadice. They have won two of the teams' five meetings in all competitions, as well as coming within seconds of two further victories.Reid said: "The added spice comes from the fact we've always done really well against them."I think we've got a better record against them than they have against us and they'll be looking to put that right. That makes them very, very dangerous."Reid's men are still on a high from Sunday's 3-3 Scottish Cup fourth-round draw with Rangers and cannot wait for two further cracks in league and cup against Walter Smith's men."We've got Rangers on Saturday and the replay is live on Sky as well so it's quite an eventful few weeks for us," Reid said."We get half the gate and I think £82,500 for the replay as well."So it's happy times at the moment for Hamilton Accies."Meanwhile, Prince Buaben has revealed how Dundee United captain Andy Webster read the players the riot act after back-to-back defeats to Rangers and Aberdeen.Webster - on loan from the Scottish champions - was embarrassed to watch the 7-1 Rangers demolition from the stand and decided to act after a 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen left United reeling.Buaben said: "We had a meeting with all the players last week, where it was decided that we had to step up a bit to get back to doing what we did before."It was just between the players, the manager wasn't there. Andy Webster organised it. We spoke about what was going wrong and it made a big difference."Webby is a really good captain so has a very big influence on everyone in the dressing room. Even when he starts to get a bit angry during the games we don't have a problem with that."After all, he's team captain so is allowed to show his emotions."United's players were left reeling by Craig Levein's departure but boosted their spirits with a 2-0 Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle at the weekend.Buaben added: "Just because the manager left it's no good putting your head down and looking at the ground."Things are getting better so you cannot complain about the manager going and say everything was down to that for our poor spell."I hope Peter Houston gets the job until the summer because he's good with the players and knows what he's doing."United remain on the hunt for a new manager but it's understood Jim Jefferies, who left Kilmarnock after eight years on Monday, is not on their shortlist.Chairman Stephen Thompson is considering putting an interim boss in place until the end of the season, with former Rangers and Manchester United assistant Archie Knox a live candidate.Mixu Paatelainen, Billy McKinlay, John McGlynn and Michael O'Neill have all been linked with the post but Thompson is still receiving applications. Dundee Utd 5/4, Hamilton 9/4, Draw 9/4
