Everton's hopes of building a new stadium could be back on track

The two sides met yesterday [Monday] following the Government's decision last year to reject a planning application for a new stadium in nearby Kirkby. The £400 million development for a 50,000-seater stadium, in partnership with Tesco, collapsed in November with Liverpool City Council one of the opponents to Destination Kirkby.
