Sky Blues hoping to host Tykes

The whole of Britain has been hit with snow and sub-zero temperatures this week and, with more expected before the weekend, sports events almost everywhere are being wiped out, including matches in the Championship. But Sky Blues officials insist - barring any severe last-minute problems - the visit of Barnsley will go ahead.Under-soil heating at the Ricoh Arena means the pitch is in good condition and has subsequently allowed Chris Coleman to put his players through their paces this week.Work has and is now constantly being carried out to clear snow and ice from the stands, car parks and all areas and approaches around the stadium.Anthony Mundy, facilities director at the Ricoh Arena, told the club's official website: "We would encourage supporters to give themselves extra time for their journeys and turn up as early as possible."
