Brown: We will be loyal to new boss

Irvine, 51, was a popular figure with North End players and supporters alike before he was surprisingly sacked last week.Darren Ferguson is the clear favourite to land the vacant post but Brown is adamant that Irvine's work should not go unnoticed. He said: "I was one of Alan's first signings and enjoyed working with him. He rescued my career."I don't know much about who is going to get the job. But whoever comes in, on behalf of all the players I can say we are all going to pull in the right direction."
