Burnley 1 Bolton 1: Goalscorer David Nugent not missing life at Portsmouth

David Nugent knows exactly what he wants for a late Christmas present - a move to Burnley. It will cost the Lancashire club £3million to end his Portsmouth misery. But that is a serious amount of cash to Burnley and the type of deal that can kill a football club. No wonder Owen Coyle and his chairman Barry Kilby have already begun talks at least to extend the loan - which ends on January 22 - until the end of the season. Nugent is not hiding his desire to stay up north. 'I am absolutely loving life here, the smile is back on my face and I'm playing a lot more than I did at Portsmouth,' said the one-time England striker. Settled: David Nugent is hoping to extend his spell at Burnley'I have been given a new lease of life at Burnley, I love the vibe of the club and if the opportunity comes to stay until at least the end of the season, I want to take it. I didn't really feel wanted at Portsmouth and now I feel good about myself again.' The Liverpool-born striker will make his first appearance at Goodison Park on Monday, where he used to watch his beloved Everton. Twenty-five members of his family are travelling to Merseyside, all hoping for Burnley and Owen Coyle's first away win in the Barclays Premier League. Most were at Turf Moor on Saturday to witness Nugent's first start for two months and his excellent headed equaliser from Wade Elliott's cross that preserved a home record of just one defeat since promotion. Man of the match: Wade Elliott.Referee: Chris Foy. He would have had a hat-trick against a poor Bolton side but for goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen. Bolton, meanwhile, need to improve significantly to get out of the bottom three. Saturday's shambles was a new low for Gary Megson, whose side managed two shots all afternoon - an unstoppable Matt Taylor free-kick and a weak Ivan Klasnic shot at Brian Jensen. At least the Bolton supporters sang the manager's name at the final whistle. Unfortunately for Megson, the homage was to their former striker Coyle, while the Bolton boss was again jeered as he headed past them and down the tunnel.  BOLTON v Hull: Fabrice Muamba back to boost Trotters midfieldEverton v BURNLEY: Check-up on Caldwell and Carlisle ahead of Goodison tripBURNLEY FC
