Boothroyd advocates winter break

United had their home game with Carlisle called off last week due to the cold snap and Boothroyd has now reopened the debate over a festive break."I think a winter break would be a good idea," he told the Daily Gazette. "Most teams in Europe do it - we're only talking about two weeks."I think it would be a sensible thing to do but we have the tradition of playing at Christmas. If you're a Col U fan, you put the ice pack on your head on Boxing Day after the festivities of the night before and you go along to watch your team play."You get some cold air in your lungs and then come home and start all over again."I don't think that we can disrupt the tradition of our football. But at the same time, sometimes common sense dictates that you should probably do that."
