U's call on volunteers to clear snow

The playing surface at the Community Stadium is still under several inches following the recent wintry weather in Essex so the club want volunteers to help clear the pitch.United's clash with Carlisle on Saturday had to be called off due to the conditions.A club spokesman said: "Let's do what we can to get the game on."
