Manchester City's Robinho keen to hold talks with Roberto Mancini

The Brazilian, whose future has been the topic of widespread speculation this season, had been linked with a January move to Barcelona. But with Mark Hughes' dismissal at the weekend, it appears the 25-year-old now wants to hear Mancicni's plans for moving Manchester City forward. Robinho said: "I want to talk with Mancini. I've heard good news about his work and City still have plenty of time to finish the season well. "The decision for Hughes to go was down to the owners but it did not come as a surprise after all the rumours. "But the Champions League zone is not so far for us and we are in the Carling Cup semi-finals. Performances have not been so negative as some people think." Mancini is set to be unveiled at a press conference at 4:30pm today and it seems the Italian is relishing the chance to enjoy being a part of what he regards as a more "enjoyable" league. Having won three Serie A titles with Inter, Mancini has said that despite how high profile Hughes' sacking was, the media attention in England will be nothing compared with what he experience in Italy. "England seems more fun," he said. "Both for players and managers. Italy's the hardest place to be a coach because it's always the results that count. "It doesn't matter if you play well - if you don't get the result they crucify you."
