Caddis weighs up Celtic future

The Scotland Under-21 player, who recently signed a one-year extension to his deal which was due to expire next summer, was handed a rare start as replacement for regular right-back Andreas Hinkel.Hoops manager Tony Mowbray made seven changes to his side and they came back from three goals down to draw, following a Paul McGowan strike in stoppage-time.The visitors found themselves three behind after only 19 minutes in the Group C dead rubber as Nikica Jelavic grabbed a double before strike partner Hamdi Salihi scored.Marc-Antoine Fortune scored a double before McGowan, making his first start of the season, drove in a late leveller to keep Celtic in third place.Caddis, who has been out on loan at Dundee United in the past, said: "I have spoken to the manager about getting out on loan and he said he will see what he can do."It's hard for him because he needs players because of the under-21 rule [teams have to have three in each matchday squad] so if that's what I'm there for then that's what I have to be there for."But I am 21 and I need to go and try to play some games and we will see what happens in January."I will sit down with my agent and the manager and see what my options are."But I have to keep working hard in training and I can't complain because Andreas Hinkel is playing so well and has created a lot of goals."Mowbray did not think he had blundered by making so many changes as he watched his side go 3-0 down. The Celtic boss said: "No, you make changes and pick teams before you are aware of circumstances."I said to the players at half-time, 'I'm not making any more changes, you will get on with it and get yourselves out of it', and they did just that."They drew on their strength of character and spirit."We can only take positives, the players showed the desire to play for this club."Now we have to be ready for Hearts on Sunday, there will be no excuses if we go to Tynecastle and do not find the energy or performance level."Rapid coach Peter Pacult insists mistakes by both sides at different periods in the game led to the draw.He said: "Celtic made mistakes and then we made mistakes, which is why it ended in a draw, but it was disappointing for us."
