Chelsea will manage without Didier Drogba, says Carlo Ancelotti

The 31-year-old bagged a brace in Saturday's disappointing 3-3 home draw with Everton in the Premier League, but Ancelotti believes his side have the firepower to manage in his absence. "I believe Didier Drogba, at the moment, is very important for us but I believe we can win without him in January," the Italian said.  Related ArticlesDrogba to delay African Cup of Nations dutyApprentice now the masterChelsea to make £10m bid for Darijo SrnaAncelotti: Chelsea not keen on Milan or InterPremier League heavyweights cruise throughDean Ashton may sue Chelsea"I would like to say, for the last time, we will not buy anybody in January - 100 per cent." Despite a run of under par performances that has seen five goals conceded in two matches, Ancelotti said that there is no reason Chelsea cannot turn this season into their most successful in recent years. Looking to accomplish objectives he set the club before the season started, the 50-year-old has pin-pointed the areas of his squad's game that need working on if they want to win silverware. "We have to improve on the set-plays because we conceded three goals from them," he said. "It was the same against Aston Villa. We lost that game on set plays but we worked on the situation and we improved. We have to do the same now. "For these particular situations, we have to find better positions in the penalty box and continue to work. "We went 10 games without conceding a goal at home [in the Premier League] and we then concede three. We must stay calm and quiet and continue to play."
