Stimson still proud of gallant Gills

Keeper Simon Royce was out following knee and neck injuries sustained in a car crash last week. Curtis Weston and striker Fabien Brandy were also missing along with several others, meaning Stimson could only name six substitutes. But the Gills, who are yet to win away this season, took a third-minute lead through Simeon Jackson and looked the better side for most of the first half before goals from Lee Novak and Jordan Rhodes turned the game in Huddersfield's favourStimson said: "I thought we were the better side for the first half hour. Their fans were getting a bit frustrated as they probably turned up expecting a 5-0 win."I told the players not to worry about losing by a big score. I wanted them to go out and impose themselves on Huddersfield."They attack from everywhere but I thought we did a good job in standing up to them despite missing the first choice spine of our side."
