Parky glad to beat spirited Hatters

Sam Sodje and Scott Wagstaff saw the Addicks into a 2-0 lead, before an own goal from goalkeeper Rob Elliot gave Stockport hope, although they did see leading scorer Carl Baker sent off in the dying seconds following a late melee.Parkinson said: "Stockport played well, but we created more than enough chances to have won more comfortably."Credit to Gary Ablett, his team are struggling but he had his players massively up for the game. It was a spirited performance from them."The second goal was a big goal for us though. It came at a good time because Stockport were playing well at the time."I'm just delighted with the lads' professionalism all around. This is a difficult place to come, but it's places like this that you have to come to and get results if you're going to be successful."We had to cope with a difficult surface too. We knew we'd still have to play some football. And we did that in the right areas."
