Capello tops pay league: £6m England coach eclipses Del Bosque and Dunga

In the money: Capello earns vastly more than any other World Cup manager Fabio Capello might look like the sort of chap who can handle pressure well but a list that has been published by his old friends in Madrid is unlikely to help him prepare for next summer's World Cup. According to Marca, a Madrid sports daily newspaper for which he used to write a column, Capello earns three times more than his nearest rival and a ludicrous amount more than the managers he will meet in the group stage of the World Cup.While the England boss commands an annual wage approaching £6million - Marca claims it is more - the USA's Bob Bradley is on £246,599, while Matiaz Kek of Slovenia and Rabah Saadane of Algeria are said to both earn £221,902 a year. Capello comfortably eclipses his fellow Italian, Marcello Lippi, who, despite guiding his country to victory in the last World Cup, is on £1,848,465. Capello also earns substantially more than the managers of the two teams widely regarded as favourites. For coaching Spain, Vicente del Bosque earns £1,355,863, while Brazil's Carlos Dunga earns £755,265. The Germans pay Joachim Loew £1,417,493 - but at least they will get plenty of practice with the new adidas ball that will be used in South Africa. Revealed: Franz Beckenbauer (L) and David Beckham present the official match ball for the FIFA World Cup 2010 on December 4, 2009 in Cape Town, South Africa. In the build-up to the World Cup, adidas will supply the new ball to all the leagues that use their footballs, which includes the German league. Yesterday FA officials said they were not concerned as they have already been assured by the sportswear giants that the England squad can have a supply of the new 'Jabulani' ball for training whenever they want.  Explore more:People:Fabio Capello, David BeckhamPlaces:Cape Town, Madrid, Brazil, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, Algeria, Slovenia
