Tottenham and Sunderland weigh up Hutton and Ferdinand swap deal

Sunderland and Tottenham are set to swap defenders in a bid to cure homesickness.Black Cats boss Steve Bruce wants to exchange Anton Ferdinand for Alan Hutton as both players are unhappy where they are and want to return nearer their roots.Right back Hutton, 27, signed for Spurs from Rangers for £9m in January 2008  but has struggled with injury ever since and is now behind Vedran Corluka in the pecking order.
