Liverpool FC manager Rafa Benitez eager to give Emiliano Insua a rest

RAFA BENITEZ today admitted he is desperate for Liverpool's injury crisis to relent so he can give Emiliano Insua a much-needed break.Insua has been a near constant presence at left-back this season and the only games he has missed in the last three months were trips to Leeds - in the Carling Cup - and Sunderland. There have been occasions, though, when the 20-year-old has looked as if he would benefit from a rest and Benitez does not want to ask too much of the Argentina defender too soon. But with Fabio Aurelio and Andrea Dossena both wrestling fitness problems, Liverpool's manager has had no option but to ask Insua to carry on.He has shown improvement in recent games as the Reds have kept three clean sheets but Benitez expects Insua will be better again once he has had a chance to catch breath.'It's not just been a problem with Emiliano,' said Benitez. 'There have been other players who have had to play too many games because of our injuries.'But once we have some more players coming back, hopefully we will be able to manage in a better way and Emiliano is definitely someone who will benefit (from a break).
