Manucho has played just one Premier League match for United and spent much of last season on loan at Greek side Panathinaikos. Hull are yet to secure a work permit for the 25-year-old but hope they will be able to achieve that before tomorrow's match against Arsenal. In a busy January for Phil Brown, who this week tied up a two-and-a-half year deal for Kevin Kilbane, the Hull manager also remains hopeful of completing the signing of former Liverpool right-back Steve Finnan from Espanyol, however that is unlikely to be finalised before the weekend. Brown said the club were still hoping to do a deal with Finnan, but insisted they would have to be completely satisfied about the full-back's fitness. The deal may be further complicated by interest from Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp for the player's services, though Hull remain very much the favourites. 'It is a long way from being complete,' said Brown. 'He has been injured and I think he has only played four games for Espanyol, which is a concern of ours, hence the reason he has undergone a medical to the extent he has. 'We are pulling out all the stops. We are making sure we are doing this one properly.'
