Manchester City 1 Hull City 1: Copycat heroes put smile on boss Brown's face

Hull City laughed themselves all the way back to Humberside afterJimmy Bullard led his team-mates in a hilarious goal celebration atManchester City that mimicked their manager Phil Brown's infamous teamtalk on the same Eastlands pitch last season. While Manchester City were plunged into despair after a seventhdraw in a row, Hull fans will remember the aftermath to Bullard's82nd-minute penalty equaliser for years. Funny man: Jimmy Bullard mimicks Phil Brown (below) in his celebration after scoring against City As soon as the cheeky Cockney's spot-kick hit the roof of the net to earn the visitors a draw, Hull's players dashed to the exact spot in front of their supporters in the south stand where they were publicly humiliated by their manager during their 5-1 defeat at City on Boxing Day. In a clearly-rehearsed celebration, the Hull players sat down in a circle while Bullard towered above them, wagging his finger accusingly in the 'Phil Brown role'. The seated players added to the fun by then waving their outstretched hands in mock indignation, and Brown admitted: 'I couldn't deliver congratulations to my players after the game because I was still laughing so much. 'I didn't know they were going to do something like that and I didn't see it at the time because I was too busy trying to organise a five-man midfield. But someone showed me it on a laptop straight after the game. It was fantastic. I guess the result today exorcises the demons of our game here last season. 'Football is all about timing, and the timing for that celebration was perfect because the goal was scored at the end with the Hull fans.'  Explore more:People:Phil Brown, Jimmy Bullard
