North End boss happy with strikers

Goals have dried up for North End of late, with Irvine's men finding the net just five times in the last seven games.However the former Everton coach is happy to continue backing the ability of Deepdale strikers Neil Mellor, Jon Parkin and Chris Brown."It's not very long ago that people were talking about how many goals the strikers were scoring," Irvine told the Lancashire Evening Post."You just have to look at the best strikers in the world. They all go through spells when they don't score."I could make a huge issue out of it or we could continue trying to find the form we had earlier in the season when everyone was scoring."
