Manchester City v Hull City Live
Manchester City go in search of a first win in seven Premier League
games when Hull City are the visitors to the City of Manchester
Stadium.
Mark Hughes' side have drawn all six of their games since the 3-1 win
over West Ham United in late September, so things are not quite as bad
as they may seem for the Citizens.
Last time out they drew 2-2 at Liverpool, showing that they remain
genuine contenders for a top-four finish, despite having dropped to
sixth place in the table.
Brazil ace Robinho may finally make his comeback from an ankle problem,
with first-team coach Eddie Niedzwiecki telling the Manchester Evening
News: "Robi is looking really good.
"We're pleased, after all the speculation when he went with Brazil, he didn't play for them because he wasn't ready.
"He had good training and good treatment with them and has come back to
us looking sharper by the day. Things are looking very promising for
him in terms of the weekend and he should be up for selection."
Martin Petrov will miss out, however, due to a knee injury, but Vincent
Kompany and Michael Johnson came through a midweek reserve team game
unscathed.
Hull travel across the Pennines boosted by a 3-2 midweek home win over
Everton, with the Tigers having roared into a three-goal lead within
the first half-hour at the KC Stadium.
Phil Brown's side have taken seven points from their last three games,
a run of form which has eased the pressure on the City boss.
He said after the win over the Toffees: "I think it was a deserved win,
even though Everton scored two goals in the second half.
"People might have been nervous at 3-2, but I wasn't unduly worried, I thought we still had a grip on the game.
"We stuck at the task and thoroughly deserved the victory."
