Experienced midfielder joins Darlington

DARLINGTON have signed Chesterfield midfielder Paul Harsley on loan. Following the signing of Leeds youngster Andrew Milne on loan deadline day, Harsley has joined the Quakers until January 2. Darling lost 5-2 at Chestefield last Saturday but Harsley was not included in the home squad. The experienced, Scunthorpe-born holding midfielder began his career with Grimsby as a trainee before signing joining his hometown club where he played more than 100 games. The 31-year-old then had spells with Halifax, Northampton and Macclesfield before signing for Port Vale in 2006, winning the club's Player of the Year award at the end of the 2007-08 season, and then signed for Chesterfield in summer 2008. Harsley has played more than 400 career league and cup games in League One and Two in the last 12 years.
