Tottenham goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini expected to miss rest of the season

Cudicini was discharged from hospital on Friday, a week after undergoing surgery on his right wrist. He also had his pelvis realigned after crashing while riding a motorbike. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp said: "I would think it would be the season he is out for. It will be a long job but he'll be back."  Related ArticlesTottenham Hotspur v Wigan Athletic: match previewBale on up for club and countryCudicini expected to make full recoveryCudicini recovers after surgeryCarlo Cudicini to have surgerySport on televisionAs for the fact that he was on a motorbike, Redknapp added: "I've never even thought about a player riding a motorbike. We didn't know he had a bike and I'm sure he won't be riding one again to work. My only concern was his health when I went to visit him." Cudicini remains positive about the outcome of the surgery and said: "The current position is that the operations went very well and I am already moving my wrist."With Cudicini ruled out, Redknapp may need to sign a new goalkeeper but he has ruled out a move for Manchester United's Ben Foster. He added: "If United wanted to loan him, it would be a problem for him to go somewhere and not play. Heurelho Gomes is my first-team goalkeeper and has been fantastic, so there is no point in Ben coming here as a No 2."
