Don't let the Drog out! Ex-boss Avram says Chelsea have to hold on to Didier

Former Chelsea manager Avram Grant has urged the club to keep hold of Didier Drogba.   Injuries and suspension have restricted Drogba's appearances this season and the Ivory Coast striker has often hinted he would prefer to leave Stamford Bridge.   Grant, who was sacked at the end of last season, said: 'Didier's a very nice person who has a lot of emotion. But football is a game of emotion and Drogba is a passionate player. We need to keep him like this.   Unsettled: There has been plenty of speculation about Drogba's future'It's not always easy with him. He's a great player, one of the best strikers in the world and very intelligent.   'No player can be good all the time and sometimes, when you have a bad injury, it can be frustrating. When things go wrong you can say you want to leave. 'He spoke to me about this and Jose [Mourinho] before. But I'm sure he can still score a lot of goals for Chelsea. He is good for Chelsea and they are good for him.  'In the next three or four years I have no doubt he will become a coach.'  Fiorentina goalkeeper Storari poised to join ChelseaASH WEDNESDAY: Ipswich fans make their point against Chelsea and Co and the state of the Premier League gameChelsea defender Cole is back on fire after some forward thinkingMikel facing a £100,000 Chelsea fine after being charged with drink-drivingCHELSEA FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE NET
