Ward salutes Blackwell approach

The 23-year-old was used sparingly by Blackwell following his £333,000 transfer from Chesterfield in January, but has featured more prominently in the first team this season, despite a spell on the sidelines due to a torn hamstring and broken wrist.Ward said: "I feel really settled at the moment and I appreciate the way the gaffer gradually introduced me last season. If I had been thrown straight into the action it would have been a case of sink or swim."Instead I got chance to get to grips with the style of football and the expectations of the team and myself."The fans want to see you working hard and running for them, once you show that they appreciate you."It's certainly the best job in the world and at the end of the day I couldn't ask for anymore.
