I've had enough! Babel loses patience with his bench role for Liverpool

Liverpool forward Ryan Babel has voiced frustration at his limited first-team opportunities at Anfield. Rafa Benitez's side have suffered a slump in form this season, losing five matches in the Premier League already, yet Babel still cannot find a way into the side, starting just twice so far.The Dutchman has, however, come off the bench regularly and has managed to bag three goals, including a spectacular strike at Lyon in the Champions League. Stuck in the middle: Ryan Babel wants to play more often for Liverpool but is trusting his manager Rafa Benitez to give him more first-team action in futureBut Babel admits his role is not enough and his patience is wearing thin with manager Benitez, according to The Independent.'To be a supersub is mentally hard,' Babel said. 'It is clear I have enough qualities to be in the starting XI of Liverpool. But when you never get a real chance, it's difficult. 'The Liverpool fans are happy with me as a substitute, but I didn't get a chance yet as starter. I have never played three matches in a row from the start.' Hurdle: Fernando Torres (left) is among those blocking Babel's way at AnfieldBabel also revealed that Benitez has given him reassurances over his Anfield future, apparently even going so far as to say the former Ajax man would progress to be a certain Reds' starter in future. And the £11.5million signing admits he trusts his boss - for the moment.'I'm not the type of player who gives up,' Babel added. 'Benitez told me he sees me as a starter in the Liverpool XI in the future. At this time I still believe him. To be underestimated is my biggest motivation.
