Ballack doubtful for Wolves battle

The 33-year-old has had an emotional week following the suicide of international team-mate Robert Enke and will miss the match on Wednesday with an infected knee.Chelsea can go eight points ahead of their title rivals on Saturday with Manchester United not playing until the early evening when they host Everton and Arsenal facing a tricky test at Sunderland. However the absence of Ballack, coupled with the injury to team-mate Frank Lampard, leaves the Blues short in the midfield department."We can definitely say that Michael Ballack will not play on Wednesday," Germany coach Joachim Low said."He has an infection in the back of the knee and there has been a reaction. After consultation with the doctors - I also spoke to Michael Ballack this morning - I have decided that he will not play. "He needs two or three days of rest. It makes no sense to take risks, also in terms of Chelsea as they have quite a few games leading up to Christmas and afterwards." Chelsea v Wolves Correct Score: Chelsea 4-0 7/1
