Assistant dismisses Martin claim

Martin, who had a three-month spell with Stanley before returning to Elland Road, criticised the club for not having a goalkeeping coach, saying: "I wasn't getting any goalkeeping coaching at Stanley. Before a match the team would be named, and the keeper not playing would always play outfield in training routines and I was left-back."However, Bell insists the lack of a goalkeeping coach was down to the dire financial situation at the club and believes that Martin is just bitter about being dropped from the side."Not having a coach meant that excuse was open to him, but people are quick to make excuses rather than point the finger at themselves," he told the Lancashire Telegraph."I think he probably felt he should be first choice but he made a couple of mistakes and so did Ian Dunbavin, so that was why they were both in and out of the team."
