Pards delighted with in-form Saints

Goals from Wayne Thomas and Rickie Lambert were enough to ensure the Saints reached the Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern area semi-finals on Wednesday night.Substitute Leon McKenzie pulled a goal back for Charlton, but it was not enough to stop former Addicks boss Pardew from reflecting on a run of only one defeat in 14 league and cup matches. He said: "Our performance level was high. We played some good stuff and the only blemish was conceding a late goal."It is good to keep our run going. We are on a bit of a roll at the moment even if we were sloppy at times."This is another good result but the truth of the matter is that after what has happened in recent years we need a winning season where we win more games than we lose. If that takes us to Wembley and a final all the better."
