Nedum explains defensive woes

CITY'S bolder approach has contributed to their recent defensive problems. That is the view of Nedum Onuoha, who feels that the new-look back four has found the going tougher without the two holding midfielders the Blues employed towards the end of last season. Manager Mark Hughes has tried to get the Blues more on the front foot this season with a more regular 4-4-2, usually with Shaun Wright-Phillips and Craig Bellamy bombing on, and Gareth Barry linking play.
